HOPE worldwide - Australia is a Christian non-government organisation which aims to provide hope to a hurting world. We support a number of innovative and effective medical and educational programs in our closest neighbour - Papua New Guinea.


We also work with Diabetes Australia - NSW and with the International Diabetes Federation to improve care for children with diabetes in a number of developing countries.


Who HOPE Worldwide - Australia is:

In Papua New Guinea, they help in the following:

Health:

  • The clinics in the squatter settlement areas of Port Moresby that help over 30,000 patients per year. Providing the medical, antenatal, and nutrition and immunisation services.
  • Tuberculosis treatment and control
  • HIV or AIDS education in both schools and communities
  • Research in malaria, yaws, renal tubular acidosis, and also other diseases
  • As well as the developing diabetes services


Education:

  • School Library Program which has been distributed over 880,000 books to over 1,700 schools, and it has established three computer classrooms
  • A school for children who have missed the chance of going to school
  • Training the Agriculture and sewing skills
  • A school student sponsorship program



PNG (Papua New Guinea) programs, are conducted in collaboration with our partner, Organisation HOPE worldwide (PNG).

The PNG School Library Program is supported by Book Drives that we conduct in Australia each year. Per year, they collect at least 250,000 books.


Where else are the HOPE Worldwide organisations?

Rwanda, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Philippines, Fiji, Bolivia, Romania, Montenegro, Azerbaijan, India and Sri Lanka - we support children with diabetes.
